What can be done?

The problem is that we have failed to unite Pakistan, failed to establish productive educational institutions, failed to acquire sustainable economic policies, and failed to have a strong foreign policy. In my opinion, the main problem in Pakistan is the unstable political structure.
The problem is not that we are in an unstable political situation, but the problem lies in us, the people of Pakistan, hoping for something new from our old political structure.

The old faces remain stable in our unstable economic and political structure. They are not going to change policies because these policies are in their favor. If they change policies, they will lose their political power and economic dominance in the country as well. When the political structure changes, new thoughts, and ideas may be more successful in the new situation than old ones. Similarly, when economic policies change, the market's focus may shift from one product to another, resulting in potential losses for the elites.

We have to understand that the old faces are not going to bring new policies. The only way to improve our condition is to give a chance to new faces. However, this should not be done with blind faith or merely because the old ones were corrupt. We have to understand their motives and evaluate their economic and political policies."

For more clear understanding I recommend “Why nation fail" by Daron Acemoglu & James A. Robinson.
